TURN DOWN THE VOLUME before you start to play this, I am serious!  I recorded it too loud!

Okay, so this is the audio (only) of “The Cross Weather Witch” read-along book, and it DOES have Majesty’s speaking voice (near the end, I think.)

Also they gave the Weather Witch an “old crone” voice even though she looks like this:

Comments: And we end with an intriguing hint that the ponies may not, strictly speaking, be mortal beings.

Comments:   Prince Valiant’s design is nearly identical to the prince in Snow White.  Same clothes and everything.

Well, the upcoming G4 Happy Meals toys made me think back to the first McDonald’s MLP toys, from 1985.  They had an extremely limited release, only being available in and around St. Louis!  They are bookmarks—that’s what the clip on top is for.

This mold was also used for “My Pony Pixie” (a Charmkins character), Powder Puff (tiny pony charm who came with the My Little Pony club), the 20 Mommy Charms, and the charm version of Sweet Scoops.

But then I thought to myself, “If MLP was the ‘girls toy’, what was the ‘boys toy’?”  The answer is Transformers, of course, making this the perfect topic for Transformers Tuesday!

There were four molds (of Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Brawn, and Gears), and the interesting thing is that unlike the pony charms, where they meticulously made them match the first six ponies, they just went completely crazy on the Transformers colors, making six colors for each mold (24 in all).

Probably the weirdest thing is that there isn’t a Bumblebee figure with the main color yellow.  I’m digging the black and hot pink version, though.

Comments:  I like how their immediate reaction is “Man, what’s trying to kill us NOW?”  Props to Tootsie for her defensive use of “pollipop latch.”

WOW, is this retro merchandise or vintage?
(I am leaning towards retro, just based on the ponies represented, compared with the “block letter” logo and the TAF ponies on the packaging.)
So cute!
