Scanned one of the many pony booklets my mom had saved. I will always be somewhat disappointed in her for not purchasing a Majesty, because that has made Majesty not part of my collection, lol.
TNT - Twinkler ‘n Tigerhawk’s Little Purple Board of Destruction
A few people sent me messages filled with kind words recently, asking, “Are you LM? The LM who ran TNT?” Yes, I am! Twinkler ‘n Tigerhawk’s Little Purple Board of Destruction was a message board I made for my website, back when I had a website. I’m not sure how many years back … Many years …
Anyway, it was great fun. A board small enough to be like family, large enough that there was always something going on. The name of the board and the characters on the banner (Twinkler the pony and Tigerhawk the BW Transformer) were purposely chosen because they made such an odd and funny contrast. I gave the board a sub-header from the movie The Specials:
"We may not be the prettiest, or the smartest, or the most powerful. But we don’t exist for the beautiful people of the world. We’re there for the oddball, the rebel, the outcast, the geek."
We were geeks, and we geeked out about Transformers, My Little Ponies, superheroes … We made jokes about Captain Atom secretly pining for a pair of pants, about the G3 pony playsets coming with forks (how do they use them?? we decided WTF stood for “why the fork?”), we made picfics of Vegeta vs. Parasol or Megatron learning the true meaning of Christmas, we wrote fanfics, we drew fan art …
I am so touched that people still remember it after all these years, so pleased that it had it led to friendships that are strong to this day. To read people’s comments about the board being a haven when they were younger, or that it influenced their taste in fiction (!!), or that it helped them through the torment that is adolescence … well, it made me tear up a little. It means a lot to me.
Thank you, my friends. TNT forever.

The Great Christmas Bake - Final Part - Pixie Present Day
Source: My Little Pony comic #119 (G1)
Comments: Most of the time I post multi-part stories in sequential order, but in this case I don’t have the previous issues. Besides, it makes the story that much more strange and intriguing, coming into it cold. Why is Trucker sneaking barefooted pixies over the countryside, and why do the sorceresses want to stop him? Why is this story called “The Great Christmas Bake”?
And most important of all, what is with the teddy bear in the eyepatch??
Sparkle Pony backcard
This night-themed set is one of the loveliest.
Not sure why there are quotation marks around their names, though.
The Baby Sparkle ponies never showed up in the comics (as the UK never got that set—they got the “Starlight Babies” instead, who had the same colors and symbols, but had solid, pearly bodies and tinsel).
But the adult Sparkle ponies turned up from time to time! Here’s a cover featuring all six of them and a coloring page with Sky Rocket. (Seasonal, eh? ^_~) For those of you who’d like a larger version of the page to coloring in, follow this link:
"The favorite I never had" … What a great phrase. For me, it was Bubbles. I wanted Bubbles so badly, but my mom thought the sitting ponies were too "boring." Did you have a favorite you never had? Write to me and let me know! *points at the Ask Me Anything button*
